This morning I woke up thinking about what I was going to add to my weekly Thanks post and struggled a bit, then it came to me. You see it doesn’t have to be big things, they can be very small, yet very impactful. So here we go!!!!
1. A hero! After a long wedding on Friday, I spent the entire day in bed on Saturday fighting aches and pains. When Raf walked in the door and said, “Hey, look what I have in my hands”, I knew exactly what he was referring to. My issue of Jasmine Star’s Exposed had arrived. I still remember the first time I found Jasmine’s blog, I won’t say that I was hooked. I browsed it briefly, then moved on. I truly believe that everything has a time and place and maybe I wasn’t ready for a dose of Jasmine 3 years go. A year later, I found myself back onto her site and this time I stayed a while (and I’m still here). I spent an entire day in front of the fireplace reading every single blog post. I was hooked!!!! Jasmine’s story has been soo inspiring. What I, and soo many others, love about her is that she shares everything she knows, from her challenges all the way up to her triumph. As successful as she’s become, she remains humble. This magazine is about her story and all the behind the scenes that got her to where she is today. I truly hope she knows what an inspiration she is to all of us newbie photographers and how much we appreciate her pouring out her heart and soul to the photography community. One of my favorite quotes from her book is – While you may not have it together, you can still succeed. We love you Jasmine!!!!

2. A good Book. I’ve always loved reading and nothing brings me more joy than spending an afternoon on the couch reading a good book. I’m excited about the opening of Breaking Dawn this Friday. After watching the 3 prior movies, I wanted to make sure I was prepared for the latest, so I went to the bookstore and purchased all the books in the series and spent the next 8 days reading. I’m soo ready! I can’t wait for Friday!!!

3. Bringing Joy. I never knew that at this stage in my life , I would find something that brought joy into my heart, but even more so, joy into the heart of others. My camera has helped me do that. There’s nothing more fulfilling then when you show your clients their pictures and you see that big beaming smile on their face. Recently a client sent me a message and told me she hopes I continue to bring joy to many people thru my work. That’s what I want to do, use my camera to bring joy to peoples hearts. So I want to thank Eric Marrero for recommending my 1st camera, and unknowingly, opening my heart up to soo much joy!
