Nina + Robert | Stamford Loading Dock Wedding

Nina and Robert had an amazing, chic and modern wedding at The Loading Dock in Stamford. We started off the day with their 1st look at Binney Park in Old Greenwich, followed by a church ceremony then the most amazing reception at The Loading Dock. This was my first time shooting there and I surely hope it’s not the last. It’s a super chic industrial space which served as the perfect setting for their wedding reception. Much thanks to Jen Lynne for allowing me to second shoot with her. Here are a few of my favorites from the day! Enjoy!!
I just love this shot as Robert wipes a tear after seeing Nina for the 1st time!I simply LOVE this shot!As Jen was shooting the bridal party portraits, I loved the candids I was able to capture. That’s the beauty of having a second shooter!I just about died when I entered the reception space!! So modern, so chic!!!

I love keeping up with my clients during their marriage. Nothing brings me greater joy than when I find out that a lil bun in the oven. I was over the moon excited when Marc reached out to let me know that he and Arlina were expecting their bundle of joy and wanted me to document the baby shower. After their gorgeous wedding last year, I knew the shower would be amazing and it truly was. The baby shower was held at the Bedford Post Inn and quaint inn located in Westchester County. It was the perfect setting for Marc and Arlina to celebrate the upcoming arrival of their little one with family and friends. Arlina’s Aunt did an amazing job with the details. Seriously! Enjoy!!!

Prayers for Boston

It is absolutely heart-wrenching just thinking about the events that unfolded in Boston yesterday. There are lots of questions. Things just don’t make sense. However, the one thing I do know is that the city of Boston needs all the love and prayers they can get. They truly need it. So my post today is dedicated to Boston!

The joys of giving back….

A few weeks ago when my longtime friend Rony Delva asked me if I’d come out and speak at Fairfield University’s Upward Bound Career Day, I did not hesitate to say yes. The Fairfield University Upward Bound Program provides low income, potential first-generation college students with the tools necessary to access postsecondary education as full participants.

It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning, speaking to these high school students and giving them words of encouragement as they prepared to move onto the next chapter of their lives. The panel consisted of professionals from various fields, including marketing, healthcare and employment. We each got up and spoke to the students about our journey and what led us to the career paths we ultimately chose. My goal was to ultimately share my story, my struggles and assure them that life is not a bed of roses and despite trials and tribulations, with determination and hard work, anything was possible for them. They just had to work hard.

Just looking at their faces, it made me think back to when I was in their shoes and unsure about the direction I was headed in. I’m soo grateful for the people I’ve met on my journey and who’ve helped me along the way and ultimately, I hope that by sharing my story, I provided them with enough courage to chase their dreams. If I made a difference in one student’s life, then it was all well worth it!

Meghan + Chris | OceanCliff Resort, Newport RI Wedding

Last summer I had the opportunity to shoot Meghan and Chris’ wedding at the gorgeous Oceancliff Resort in Newport Rhode Island. The Oceancliff Resort is located on a cliff overlooking Naragansett Bay. It’s a stunning venue with amazing ocean views. This was my first time in Newport and it surely won’t be my last.

Things that matter

After going non stop for the past two months, I finally had the chance to do what I wanted this weekend, including watching Bailey hang out with his new friend Chayce. I need more moments like this – moments of simple joys, moments with family and friends and definitely more puppy kisses!!!

Wedding Albums

As a photographer, my goal is all about capturing moments that tell the story of your day. While my packages come with digital images, albums are a beautiful way to showcase your wedding images. I know, in this age of instant access, digital is the preferred method of receiving images. However, 10, 20, 30 years from now when you want to take your grandchildren through your wedding day, what will stand the test of time – an outdated disc of images or a beautifully designed album?

I’m soo excited to be using Madera Books for my clients’ wedding albums. These flush mount albums are a gorgeous way to display your images. Each album features a lay flay design, thick archival pages, and the choice of a leather (faux or real) or linen cover. Each album holds up to 40 pages and comes packaged in a display box. I received my newest sample album with the linen cover and was super impressed. Here are a few pages from Sherena and Earnest’ wedding last summer. Enjoy!!!

A New Day

There are times when things are overwhelming and you wonder if you have the strength to go on. At the end of a long hard day, soo many things go through your mind – “Am I cut out for this”, “I don’t think I can do this anymore”, “If only I’d done things differently”. It’s a never ending round of doubts and questions. However, the beauty of it all is that tomorrow is another day. As I sat and gazed at the sun rising on the Barbados coastline, I realized that despite the trials of yesterday, today is a new day. Another day to get up and try again, to start over. So here’s to a lifetime of sunrises and the opportunity to face a new day!
