Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns; I am thankful that thorns have roses – Alphonse Karr
Over the past couple of months, despite the many trials and challenges, I’ve always tried to think of the positive and to be thankful for how blessed I truly am. Just waking up everyday is a blessing, having friends to talk to is a blessing, having the opportunity to choose what you’re going to eat as opposed to not having a choice is a blessing. Blessings are all around us. It’s when we’re at a low that we should take a look around us and despite what we’re going thru or are not satisfied with at the time, that we should be thankful for what we do have – even the smallest things.
I’ve noticed that lots of people are doing the 30 days of Thanks on Facebook and have decided to do my own version of thanks. For the month of November every week I’ll focus on the things that I’m thankful for. Although the month has started I’m kicking off this week with the 3 things that I’m thankful for.
Last week I was blessed to be laying on the white sandy beaches of Punta Cana relaxing and unwinding.
I also celebrated my 4th wedding anniversary to my soulmate. Raf has truly been a blessing in my life and I’m so very thankful.
Finally, I had the most amazing photo session with my sister and her family yesterday and just hanging out with them made me realize how much I appreciate and love those who are closest to me.
I am soo grateful!!!
