I know, I’m late on my weekly Thankful post. Better late than never, right? This week, I’m just gushing with thanks and gratitude. The past few days have truly been remarkable and have truly shown me the wonders of Gods work.
On Sunday, I attended a Zumbathon thrown by my friend Veronica Ramos. This event was thrown to benefit Life is Precious, a non-for profit suicide prevention program for teenage Latina girls. It was an evening filled with lots of laughter as the girls got their hair and makeup done, followed by Zumba with the finest instructors in NYC! These instructors put on a quite show. It brought such joy to not only donate my services but to see how many people came together to put this event together for these girls. We can all do our part to help.

Today, I’m soo grateful for traditions. Every year, my friend Marie and I go over our menus and discuss in detail how we prepare each and every dish. We’ve been doing this for the past 20 years (yes, 20 years) and inspite of the fact that the menu never changes, it wouldn’t feel the same if we didn’t do it. I spent the morning on the phone with her going over last minute items and what the flow of our day looks like. I know, it’s a bit much, but I would have it no other way.
So here’s to lending a hand to help others and maintaining tradition! Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

My stomach is growling now! One of the girls that participated in the Zumbthon works for Costco I think, lol.
